Appeal for Participation in a Non-WVU Program
All programs outside of WVU's pre-approved programming must be approved by Education Abroad and International Risk Management. Programs will be reviewed based on their academic integrity, professional reputation, systems of safety and student support, and rationale for program choice.
All programs must be credit bearing, the Office of Global Affairs cannot issue academic credit. Programs that are not accredited will not be approved unless WVU credit has been arranged through an academic department.
Programs must be requested and approved three months prior to departure. Students participating in approved programs must register in the Education Abroad Placeholder course in order to transfer credits received abroad. Credit transfer, as always, is dependent on academic department approval.
Upon review of submitted information, additional information may be requested.
Submission of this application should be used for all students participating in program associated with scholarships such as Boren, Critical Language, Fulbright, etc.
