Your CIEE Semester Global Internship program in Madrid lasts 12 weeks and features three key components: A full-time internship with an international organization (approximately 30-40 hours per week), an internship seminar, and the option to take a course taught online through CIEE’s global academic partner, ASU. Enhance your experience with co-curricular and extracurricular activities while building career skills, expanding your professional network, and immersing yourself in Spanish culture. Take a day trip to the medieval city of Toledo, an ancient city known for its medieval Arab, Jewish, and Christian monuments in its walled old city
Visit UNESCO World Heritage sites like Alcalá de Henares, a historic Spanish city famed for its 16th-century buildings in its old town
Kayak and hike to beat the heat, or dip into one of Madrid's many public swimming pools

CIEE Madrid: Study in the historic center of Spain’s capital near Puerta de Sol, conveniently located near shops, cafés, tapas bars, theaters, museums, copy centers, and metro stations. CIEE Madrid features five classrooms, a student lounge, an academic advising office, and a student life office.
Arizona State University (ASU): Brought to you by CIEE in partnership with ASU, enhance your international coursework with online classes that align with your degree requirements. ASU offers thousands of online courses in asynchronous 7.5-week sessions that fit within the CIEE academic calendar.
