Information

BAHRAIN: ROYAL UNIVERSITY FOR WOMEN (RUW)
Bahrain is a true multicultural nation and has the reputation of being the most liberal country in the region. As a legacy of the British presence, the English language is the most common language spoken in the Kingdom after Arabic. Along its fast modernization, the country is very attached to its tradition and its national treasures (archeological digs and forts).

The Royal University for Women (RUW) is the first private, purpose-built, international university in the Kingdom of Bahrain dedicated solely to educating women. RUW provides a comfortable environment in which to create leaders, develop vibrant personalities, dynamic decision makers, independent thinkers and community-conscious individuals. Our main focus is on academic excellence and personal development. The Royal University of Women (RUW) and West Virginia University (WVU) are both comprehensive universities with a mandate to maintain high quality programs of teaching, research, and service. Because of this RUW and WVU have decided to collaborate internationally with a goal of mutual cooperation and assistance in attaining institutional goals.
