Program Description:

Program Cost: $7,250 * Does not include airfare

There will be a required contract meeting for the internships in March. They will be held on March 26 (Blackwater room Mountainlair) and March 29th (Hatfields room B)  from 4 to 6. It is imperative that you attend one of these meetings to learn more about how to receive the 6 credits for your internship. Please save the date!

Internships can be a valuable part of the college experience. They help you gain first-hand professional experience, look great on a resumé, and can help you decide what career is (or isn't) right for you.  International internships help to show that you are ready to be part of an increasingly globalized workforce and can thrive in cross-cultural environments.

Where Will I Work?
Participants will have a series of Skype interviews to determine their placement. A team works on-ground to find the best internship placements, taking into consideration the participant's field of study, interests, and other professional experiences. 

Where Will I Live?
Accommodations are in a shared double-bedroom student apartment.

Other Costs
Some other expenses to plan for: passport, airfare, public transportation, nightlife, weekend trips, cultural activities and admission fees, etc.

How Can I Pay?
This program is for six credit-hours, so we recommend working with Financial Aid to see what funding options are available.

Pell Grant Recipients may apply for The Gilman Scholarship at:

Billing for the programs will occur upon registration into the courses associated with the Education Abroad program in STAR. The payment deadlines for the program will be the same as WVU Summer Semester Tuition and Fees. Students will receive correspondence from OGA with registration instructions upon acceptance into the program after the application deadline. All payments are due in full before trip departure. Payments can be made through STAR or by contacting the Mountaineer HUB at (304) 293-4006.
