Sweden: Linköping University Summer Academy
This experience gives international students an opportunity to study abroad for one month.
They have several high-quality courses to choose from and will gain cultural insights together with other international students from all over the world.

Housing will be provided, a fully furnished single room with access to a fully equipped shared kitchen. We have a package including rent, Internet Access, a bus pass for Linköping and surroundings, a pass for the Campus sports facilities and one time final cleaning for 5000 SEK, approximately $540 USD. Application: February 1, 2018 until March 6, 2018
Arrival day: June 29, 2018
Course dates: July 2-July 27 on site (some courses have preparatory exercises before arrival in Sweden).

Information: Linköping in southern Sweden is one of Sweden’s fastest growing cities, with approximately 150,000 inhabitants. High world-class technology, an innovative university and lively trade characterize the city. Linköping’s industry, municipality and the university collaborate closely. Linköping is situated in an inviting landscape of beautiful natural surroundings, and here history and tradition meet creativity and innovation.

Study tours are offered in Stockholm and Vadstena at the students’ own expense.

Academics

Entry requirements: To meet the general entry requirements, students must have completed 1 year full-time studies (passed 60 ECTS credits or equivalent) from one of Linköping University’s partner universities. This is a four-week credit-bearing program. All courses are taught in English and are full-time, Bachelor’s level courses. They will be worth 7.5 ECTS. 

**For WVU students, 2 ECTS credits = 1 WVU Credit.

Cost

 

Cost for student: The accommodation package is SEK 5,000 ($600 USD) for one month. This includes a single private student room with shared kitchen, bed linen, internet access (with cable), bus card, access to sports facilities and one final exit cleaning.

Billing for the programs will occur upon registration into the courses associated with the Education Abroad program in STAR. The payment deadlines for the program will be the same as WVU  Semester Tuition and Fees. Students will receive correspondence from OGA with registration instructions upon acceptance into the program after the application deadline. All payments are due in full before trip departure. Payments can be made through STAR or by contacting the Mountaineer HUB.
 
 

Misc

Visa Required for US Citizens? No

Students will be automatically enrolled in the ISOS emergency assistance provider and comprehensive travel and health insurance policy. For more information click here
