Information

Uruguay: Business in Emerging Latin America
MontevideoMontevideo and Buenos Aires invite you to explore their unique and exciting blend of European and South American cultures.  Expand your worldview and knowledge of international business practices through cultural experiences and company visits.

Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, with its rich cultural heritage blending Italian and Spanish traditions, is rapidly becoming a hip travel destination.  Experience great coffee, amazing architecture, and jazzed up old quarters.  We will visit Uruguay’s coast featuring the sun-soaked beaches of Punta del Este, known as the St. Tropez of Uruguay, thanks to its upscale resorts and swanky nightclubs. We will also experience the historic City of Colonia del Sacramento, a UNESCO World Heritage Site founded by the Portuguese in 1680 and of strategic importance in resisting the Spanish. Uruguay offers a safe environment with relatively low crime rates and an efficient public transportation system.  For a break from city-life, we will saddle up with a local gaucho and ride horseback through the wild plains of the countryside.

Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, is often referred to as the "Paris of South America" for its wide boulevards, sidewalk cafés, and excellent shopping.  One of our most memorable experiences will be a tango show in the city that gave birth to the dance.
