Program Description:

Japan: Asian Studies Summer Program @ Kansai Gaidai University
Japan KGU Summer 2017This six-week program offers introductory Japanese language and Asian Studies courses, supplemented with exciting cultural activities in Kyoto and Osaka organized by local students.

Dates: June 8 - July 24, 2017
Program Fee: JPY305,000
       includes: pick-up service, tuition room charge, liability insurance and some field trips.

Kansai Gaidai University is located in Hirakata City, which is located midway between Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan, and Osaka, the second-largest buseinss hub in Japan. The location of the program offers an excellent starting point for exploration of Japan.

West Virginia University students may attend for international transfer credit. All WVU students must apply through the Office of Global Affairs at the link above before program departure.

Students will be responsible for all program costs made payable to KGU. WVU students will be responsible for WVU Study Abroad Tuition of $150 and WVU Study Abroad Fees of $150. This allows for credit transfer upon return along with enrollment in our international emergency assistance provider and comprehensive travel and health insurance.
