Mexico: University of Guanajuato
University of Guanajuato (UG) is a comprehensive university located in the beautiful and pleasant city of Guanajuato in central Mexico. UG has approximately 17,000 students. The primary language of instruction is Spanish, so 4-5 semesters of Spanish are necessary to study at UG. Intensive Spanish courses are often offered before the beginning of the semester to enhance students language abilities.

Information: Guanajuato, officially Free and Sovereign State of Guanajuato, is one of the 31 states which, with the Federal District, are the 32 Federal entities of Mexico. It is divided into 46 municipalities and its capital city is Guanajuato.

UG offers courses at the Guanajuato campus in the fields of Architecture, Art and Design, Economic-Administrative Sciences, Natural and Exact Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanties, Law, Politics, Government and Engineering.

Click on “Guanajuato Campus”, then on the relevant academic division.
Courses are listed within their respective majors, so to find a chemical engineering course, for example, first click on “LICENCIATURA EN INGENIERI?A QUI?MICA”. Then, under “Plan de Estudios”, you will see course listings. Exchange students are not required to follow the semester-by-semester modules of instruction, and can choose from a variety of courses offered between different majors at will.

 
 

Cost

Financial aid and scholarships will apply! Students will pay university and study abroad tuition and fees, housing and meals to WVU.
