SUMMER SNAPSHOT


The Nanzan University six-week intermediate-advanced language program includes courses in Japanese cultural studies and arts (hanga and ikebana), optional excursions, and opportunities to interact with local students. Nanzan is located in Nagoya, one of Japan's largest cities, offering students endless opportunities for cultural immersion.

SPECIAL ACADEMIC CONDITIONS

Students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.


LANGUAGE NOTES

Applicants must have at least an intermediate level of Japanese language ability (about 3-4 semesters) and be able to follow classes in English or Japanese.

PROGRAM FEE

Intensive Japanese Language Program: $4,800


HOUSING AND MEALS

Housing is provided in Nanzan University's international student dormitory. Students are responsible for providing their own meals.


STUDENT ACTIVITIES

Students will embark on 2 field trips as well as participate in flower arrangement, woodblock printing, coffee hours, and more.

LOCATION

The university is located in Nagoya and is easily accessible by subway train and bus. Nagoya, in Central Japan, is one of the country's leading metropolises of international trade, industry and culture. Its strategic geographical location makes access to other big cities like Tokyo and Osaka easy. Direct flights to Nagoya from numerous major cities around the world are available. Nagoya enjoys a relatively temperate climate, although summers can be hot and very humid.
