Information

Germany: Organizational Consulting for MBAs
Fulda campus
The intent of this special topics course is to provide experiential learning opportunities through which students can sharpen their professional skills including teamwork, professional communication (written and oral), and the direct application of academic knowledge, all grounded in the reality of a bona fide organizational need. This is accomplished through consultative and advisory projects involving external clientele.  This course emphasizes the process of identifying the project, identifying the objectives, acquiring data to inform problem analysis, analysis of the data, making recommendations and communicating these recommendations effectively[1]. The successful execution of the process is dependent on effective interface with the client.

[1] These characteristics are grounded in the work by David Kolb: Kolb, D. A. (1984). Experiential learning: Experience as the source of learning and development (Vol. 1). Englewood Cliffs, NJ: Prentice-Hall.
