Sweden: Cross-Cultural Perspectives in Sports & Exercise Psychology
Halmstad Sweden
This program travels to Halmstad, Sweden. Halmstad, a city located on the southern coast of Sweden, is home to Halmstad University which has an internationally known Sport & Exercise Psychology program.  While in Halmstad, students and faculty will live near campus, take classes taught in English alongside undergraduate and graduate students of Halmstad University - as well as interact with the well-known faculty who teach in the program.  Furthermore, Halmstad is home to several professional handball, soccer, and volleyball teams (all very popular sports in Sweden) and very close to Bastad (Sweden's tennis capital).

Part of this program will include conducting comparisons of athlete and coach behavior between the USA and Sweden.  Furthermore, faculty members of Halmstad University have strong relationships, due to close proximity, with the Scandinavian School of Golf.  Students will be able to visit the facility and meet directors and students.

Finally, students will be able to visit cultural and historical sites located in Halmstad, Bastad, and Gotenburg (in Sweden) and Cophehagen, Denmark, which is the point through which the students and faculty will travel.
