Germany: Fulda Education Abroad
Fulda GermanyHave you always wanted to see the world: study, work, and have fun all at the same time? Consider this faculty-led summer study abroad program at the Fulda University of Applied Sciences. This four-week program takes place in the heart of Germany, near the banking center of Frankfurt, and close to the former German Democratic Republic and the notorious Fulda Gap.  With easy train access to many major cities in Europe, you can combine a study/internship trip with European travel before or after the program. 

The program is a four-week language and culture study abroad program that helps student get acquainted with Fulda and the surrounding area. The program encompasses an exciting and fun-filled four-week language and culture program offered by the International Summer University (ISU) at Fulda University of Applied Sciences. During the ISU student will take one German-language class and one seminar while discovering Fulda and the surrounding Rhön nature reserve as well as important cities in Germany, including the capitol city of Berlin. In addition to the language course and seminar, students will take part in an exciting extracurricular program featuring salsa dancing, cooking, media, and canoeing classes. Program participants will also take part in excursions to Berlin, Weimar, and Bamberg/Würzburg in northern Bavaria, and local attractions, such as the Fulda Gap and the Rhön mountains. *** Students at all levels are welcome to participate.

Information: Fulda is a city in Hesse, Germany; it is located on the river Fulda and is the administrative seat of the Fulda district. In 1990, the town hosted the 30th Hessentag state festival.

Billing for the summer 2017 programs will occur upon registration into the courses associated with the Education Abroad program in STAR. The payment deadlines for the program will be the same as WVU Summer Semester Tuition and Fees. Registration will occur in mid-April, students will receive correspondence from OGA with registration instructions upon acceptance into the program after the application deadline. All payments are due in full before trip departure.
