Program Overview

Your CIEE Semester Global Internship program in Buenos Aires lasts 12 weeks and features three key components: a full-time internship with an international organization (approximately 30 hours per week), an internship seminar, and the option to take a course taught online through CIEE’s global academic partner, ASU. Enhance your experience with co-curricular and extracurricular activities while building career skills, expanding your professional network, and immersing yourself in Argentine culture. Live, learn, and work in Buenos Aires!

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Buenos Aires will open doors for you to explore Argentina’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.   

Samples of past excursions and activities:

  • Participate in an empanada-making workshop to learn the art of crafting traditional Argentine cuisine
  • Enjoy a private tango lesson followed by a visit to a milonga to experience the local dance culture firsthand
  • Take a boat trip to the Tigre Delta, exploring its unique waterways and enjoying lunch on one of the islands

Arizona State University (ASU): Brought to you by CIEE in partnership with ASU, enhance your international coursework with online classes that align with your degree requirements. ASU offers thousands of online courses in asynchronous 7.5-week sessions that fit within the CIEE academic calendar.

GAIN Travel Grants - Up to $1,500 toward travel costs guaranteed to students with a FAFSA SAI of $10,000 or less. Higher should still apply!

Gilman Go Global Grants - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $1,000 guaranteed to Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship applicants.

Merit-Based Scholarships - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $750/summer awarded to students deomonstrating high academic achievement.
